Just a few more days until Christmas. It’s time to start those last-minute preparations for the big guy’s visit. Hang the stockings. Check the chimney. Set out the milk and cookies.
But before the cookies can be set out, they need to be made. Oh my, which ones should be made? So many options. So many flavors! Which ones would he like? Well, I talked with him the other day and he told me these are a few of his favorites.
Gingerbread cookies – Just a little spice and everything nice. They taste great with a glass of cold milk.
Shortbread Cutout cookies – Fun. Festive. Colorful. And not too sweet. Just like Santa likes ’em!
Texas Sheet Cake cookies – What better way to warmly welcome ol’ Saint Nick than with a Texas-style cookie?
Fruit Cake cookies– I’ve been told these remind Santa of home. Since Texas is so far from the North Pole, it might be just what he needs to get through the night.
Rosemary cookies – With the savory flavor of rosemary, these cookies taste more like a meal. And we know Santa works up an appetite!
Having helpers in the kitchen while you make the cookies is sure to make everyone smile. And don’t forget to leave out some carrots for the reindeer. They have a busy night ahead of them, too. From all of us at Texas Table Top, Merry Christmas!
Oh please tell me you made some of each of these for Christmas morning. You have my mouth watering for these yummies.
