The winter storm brought quite a bit of snow to parts of Texas this week, but that didn’t stop ranchers from caring for their livestock.
Chores must still be done. Texas ranchers were providing hay and feed to help their livestock maintain appropriate body temperatures.
They were breaking ice in water troughs and stock tanks.
They were checking on newborn calves and helping them stay warm.
This winter storm is tough on a lot of us, but ranchers still brave the bitter temperatures and howling winds. It shows their truth and unwavering dedication. Despite the physical and mental toll, ranchers keep going. Because it’s just what they do.
Check out these photos of the winter storm from Texas Farm Bureau members.
