By Jessica Domel

Why, hello there Texas Table Top fans!  I thought I would introduce myself, seeing as how you are likely to see my name on this site from time to time. I am Jessica Domel, the newest field editor for the Texas Farm Bureau.

I know what you’re thinking—field editor, she doesn’t really cook. Oh, my friends,  I love the kitchen. To be more specific, I love to bake. I may actually hold the title for the biggest cake ball ever made in Guadalupe County’s history. I’ll have to tell you more about that later, but trust me, it was delicious.

To introduce myself, and to clarify, I come to Texas Farm Bureau from Guadalupe County. I worked for a radio station in Seguin, Texas, for about five years and was well-known around there as “Cupcake Girl,” a nickname I earned by perfecting my cupcake recipe using local firefighters and police officers as my guinea pigs.

I actually learned how to bake through the trial and error method, so I am more than willing to share my victories and failures with you. After all, it’s always good to share a good laugh. Isn’t it?

So here I am, world. Jessica Domel—farmer’s daughter, baker, writer, kitchen catastrophe queen.

It’s nice to meet you!
