Spring Break is here.

We’re on break this week, but I know many of you are going to be enjoying it next week, as well. It’s a good time to take a day or a few to hang out with the kids and enjoy a little down time.

And though I’m sure you have lots of things planned, we all have to eat, right? Here are just a few of my favorite ways to spend some time with the kids in the kitchen having some fun. And they’re tasty recipes to use even after the break is over!

Toad in a Hole: A protein-rich breakfast with a silly name is a great way to start off your break!

Pimento Cheese : How about a picnic? This will fit nicely into a pack of snacks.

Cranberry Pecan Granola Bars: Headed to the zoo? These hand held snacks are great without being too messy.

Smarty Pants Pitas: Need an afternoon snack? Peanut butter and fresh fruit is always a yummy combination.

Pizza Pockets: Bake these pies ahead of time and enjoy on the go. Go to the park. Go to a ballgame. You get the idea.

We hope you have time to enjoy a break and gear up for what is sure to be a busy spring with sports and outdoor activities starting soon. From all of us at Texas Table Top, enjoy!
